![]() ![]() Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is rolling out for last year’s Samsung Galaxy On7.Hopefully we get to see a preview of the new TouchWiz and Android 6.0 before the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S7 in 2016. We know that some design changes are coming with Android 6.0 Marshmallow but we aren’t sure how that would translate onto a TouchWiz device like Samsung’s GS6. What we are most interested to find out about are the design changes to TouchWiz and Android 6.0. The added security will only be enhanced when it comes to early rumors on the GS7 specs which is showing a huge enhancement when comparing it to the current model. Samsung will have their own range of security features on top of Google’s security and thanks to the great fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy S7 there’s no doubt that the device will be extra secure. For example, Samsung may make some of their own adjustments to how the status bar works on the S7, even though Google have made their own Android OS improvements to it as well. ![]() ![]() Marshmallow and TouchWizīecause Samsung will be running TouchWiz on top of the Android 6.0 on Samsung Galaxy S7, some of the new changes may not be that obvious. We believe that Android 6.0 could be launched out of the box but we’ll have to keep our hopes up for that. What we do know is that it’s very likely that the Galaxy S7 will be getting the 6.0 at some point in 2016. We aren’t sure whether Android 6.0 will provided for the Samsung Galaxy S7 out of the box or whether it will be provided in a future update. There will be plenty of new features in Android 6.0 on the Galaxy S7, including better fingerprint support, some small design and visual changes, a stronger Google integration including changes to Google now, extra security improvements and some additional usability features that make better use out of the status bar.
